Requesting DVC section

We are trying to book our first stay with DVC and ran into a small issue. We were under the impression we could request what section of our resort (SSR) we wanted to stay in, but the website doesn't seem to have that option. Is this not an option at all, is it only available by calling, or are we missing something in our online process?

You have to call or e-mail member services. It is only a request, not a booking category. Only booking categories are shown online.

The on-line check-in process that begins at 10 days from arrival may (depending on the resort) allow you to request a desired room location.

SSR is huge and we did not have a car when we stayed there so we did not want to be too far away from the main building. We called and they notated it on our reservation, and though it could not be guaranteed, we did end up with a building within close walking distance. I hope that helps and I hope you have a wonderful first stay!!

The online check in process does allow you to request which part of SSR you are assigned. We used it in June.
