Has anyone had any luck requesting a specific building at POR? I know the resort is going to be pretty full (if not at capacity) when we go due to Pop Warner. We have a standard room and I'm not looking to get an upgrade, I just really want to be in building 80. Or, does anyone have suggestions on a better building to stay in that's close to the Pool and Food Court as well as a bus stop?

Make a request and rank them in order of importance. If being close to the main building is priority #1, put that at the top of the list, etc. I always call my requests in about 10 days before we check in.

We have had very good luck with our requests and we follow it up with a fax 6 days prior to check-in day. You did not list how many are in your party, but if you have 5 then you will automatically be in the AB section because the mansions do not sleep 5.

Ask for what you want - close to the food court, pool and a bus stop - rather than a building number.

building 24. It's bus stop is do close to the buildings it's like having preferred without having to pay or beg for it.
