There's a waiter I love at Cali Grill and would like to be seated in his section during my February trip. Should I try to go by the check-in desk the day before or the day of to put in the request, or what would be the best option?

When you show up for your ressie, just mention you would like to be seated in their section. The only problem I would see is you may have to wait longer for a table in that section to open up:thumbsup2:cool1::cool1::cool1:

Agree with JohnnyB2. We often do this at Yachtsman Steak House and have always been taken care of as long as we tell them we don't mind waiting.

Thanks, all :goodvibes Would you tell them at the check-in area downstairs or wait until you get up to the restaurant?

I'd tell them when you check in. He may not be working the day you go. Only problem you might have is that you could have to wait until a table in his section opens up if he's there, but they'll no doubt let you wait in the lounge or bar upstairs.

I don't mind waiting at all if he's working. My cousin and I are having a "girls' night out" during a week that we're there with her DS, DDIL and 2 GS (3 and 5). I figure she'll enjoy the break ;)

We requested a particular waiter last time but the only problem was that he wasn't working, lol! However, the waitress we had instead was fantastic - she was great fun and really took care of us.
