Requesting a location?

We're taking our first trip to FW in June. There will be 5 of us staying in a cabin. My Mom (62), me (39), hubby (44), son (10) and daughter (8). Is there a certain location to request that will be convenient? I don't want to wear out Mom before we get to the parks. I guess the other option is renting a golf cart. Do you drive them to the pool and bus/boat? Just take out the key and leave them there? I've been studying these boards and can't figure this stuff out. Could we rent a 4-person golf cart since my daughter is young? Thanks in advance~ Susanne

If you're looking to cut down on walking for Mom, you can request to be near the bus stop. Just remember that requests aren't guaranteed.

Yep! There are parking areas near the pool, trading posts, Trail's End/Hoop Dee Doo, marina and Outpost bus stop.

Shouldn't be a problem.

All Disney carts are officially 4 passenger carts. Some people squeeze 6-7 people on them. Sometimes they are caught doing this. Little or nor consequences.

I would definitely make a big deal about being close to the bus stop. Does she have a handicapped sticker normally? If so, you can mention that she needs it because she normally has to have a shorter walking distance. You might also want to rent an off site scooter to help her out as well. Disney charges a small fortune for those too and you can get a week rental for what you can get charged for a day it seems.
