For five days we never saw anyone on our floor except for our last day when we were checking out. It was a little strange. I know others were on our floor, but we never saw anyone. We love VWL. I think it is so nice there. Have a great trip.We stayed at VWL in a 2 bedroom in January of 2010 and loved it. We have stayed here at other times also. This time we were on the fifth floor (top) and we did request that, and we were at the end of the hallway in the second from last room. We faced the lake and it was a pretty view through the trees and very quiet. We felt like we were in the movie The Shining with the long hallways. For five days we never saw anyone on our floor except for our last day when we were checking out. It was a little strange. Well, getting around WDW is easy. The signage is quite obvious and helpful is you're driving your own vehicle. If you plan to take buses, then just leave it up to them.thanks
now i have to figure out how to get everywhere!
One of the nicer things about VWL is that you are close to MK via boat. The boats can get crowded toward the end of the day (especially once MK closes), but they're a wonderful way to relax on the trip back to your rooms. The buses have always worked well for me there, too, though I usually have a car so I'll drive vice bus most places. I would ask for second through fourth floors, as the higher floors have balconies that are a bit awkward (just find a picture of the Villas and you can see what I mean).should we requesta high floor as opposed to a lower floor?
also can anyone help me out with these transpo issues, i think i have most of them ...
Disney quest/DTD - bus to DTD
Cape May Cafe Dinner (Beach Club) - NO IDEA
Water parks - bus
Ohana/Kona - boat to MK or CR and walk/monorail
Epcot - bus
MK - boat
1900 Park Fare - NO IDEA
Boardwalk- NO IDEA

Disney quest/DTD - bus to DTD
Cape May Cafe Dinner (Beach Club) - NO IDEA take the bus to Studios - then either walk or take the boat to BC - walking is faster - but the boat can be fun
Water parks - bus downtown bus for TL, AK bus for BB
Ohana/Kona - boat to MK or CR and walk/monorail they are both at Polyn - so you can boat to CR and take the monrail to the Polyn, or you can boat to the MK and take the boat to the Polyn
Epcot - bus
MK - boat there is a bus too
1900 Park Fare - NO IDEA again boat to CR and take the monrail to GF or boat to the MK and take the boat to the GF
Boardwalk- NO IDEA
We are staying at VWL in July and a helpful CM told me that you can get to GF by taking the bus to either Animal Kingdom/Blizzard Beach or to Downtown Disney. The next stop on the bus will be GF.
The boat to the contemporary or the magic kingdom, followed by the monorail from the contemporary to the gf or the boat from the mm to the gf may be faster than the bus loop.
