Request Specific Grand Floridian DVC Unit?

We are staying in a 1-bdrm villa at DVC GF with Lake View.
Does anyone recommend a specific 1-bdrm unit(s)?
If so, what is the process for requesting a specific unit?

You could try the Touring Plans website. They have a lot of views from the different rooms, and have an option to fax a room request for you that they'll send when it's time for room requests. https://touringplans.com/hotel_maps/the-villas-at-disneys-grand-floridian-resort-and-spa

Since DVC villas operate at nearly 100% occupancy, it’s better to be a little vague in your request. A lot will have to do with how many 1BR lake view villas are vacated on the day that you are checking in.

Keep in mind that “lake view” is exactly that...a view of the lake. It’s not a MK view. Upper floors will have a more expansive view of the lake because there are fewer obstructions.

If you are renting points, you should have the owner put your request in with Member Services. If you are staying on a cash reservation, then faxing your request may work but it is rumored that faxed requests go right into the circular file at DVC resorts.

I think they submit it about 10 days in advance. It literally says on the page though if you look at room view, Click Here to Request this Room. It doesn't matter how far in advance your trip is, they'll store it.

Just remember - VGF it such a small resort it’s difficult to fulfill specific room requests...

Also, you will need to create an account, but you don't need to sign up for their plan for the year that costs 15 dollars in order to do room requests.

Requesting a specific room at a DVC resort is a good way to not get anything at all that you want. With high occupancy, small resort, you are bound to be disappointed. Just make a general request.
