Hello, fellow cruisers! I've been looking for some recent (post 2022) info on the Disney Transportation process for debarkation day and I cannot find any.

Do you have to claim your luggage before boarding the bus or does Disney Transportation handle that for you? This is the only reason I can think that would make it worth it for me to take the bus to MCO. Timing is not an issue as our flight isn't until after 2pm.

Thanks!

You claim your bags in the terminal (at the port) and hand it off to the bus driver. Then pick it up again at the airport to take to check in.

Gotcha. Thanks so much. That will just means I'm going to Uber to MCO.

Yeah, pre Covid with the Onboard Airline check in program it was really worth it to take DCL transfers as you would put your bags out in the hall the night before debarking and DCL would take and bring it right to the airport for you. You would not see it until you claimed it your home airport. They also checked you in for your flight, delivered your airline luggage tags and boarding passes right to your cabin. I wish they would bring that service back.
