Reputable resellers other than TSS and **********?

We've been looking for a particular contract for a while, and they never seem available on these two popular resale sites. Every time we see a listing for what we want on either of these, it always says "Sale Pending"... seemingly within minutes after the listing is posted. Even the email updates I receive from them do not have the listing we are seeking. I see that sales for what we want are passing ROFR, so I assume these buyers are finding the listings somewhere else. What other reputable companies list DVC resales? Or... where do folks find the listings other than TSS and **********?

Thanks for any info!

P.S. - Is there a difference between TTS and TSS listed in the thread about resales that have passed ROFR or is TTS a typo? Also, any info on what Fidelity is? Again, thanks!

Edit: Robert, I saw your additional info in another thread. Many thanks. =)

Also, sign-up the email list for the various resellers. Some of them email a list of new contracts prior to them being posted on their website.

Have you signed up for the email updates for listings with the Timeshare Store. They will send you all of the new listings so you might get a leg up on other buyers. I saw one i wanted and called within 5 minutes and while i was on the phone with the broker another broker pulled the listing out of the system. I was devestated because it was a 100 pt Bay Lake Toer account with an April UY. Those are hard to find.

Yes, I've signed up for the emails at both of the above-listed companies. The listing we want just never seems to come available, even on the emails. That's why we were seeking other companies.

Why is a 100 point BLT contract with an April UY hard to find? Is it the point total or the use year that makes it more scarce? If it's the latter, I thought that there was supposed to be an equal distribution of use years.

We used ********** and when we called **** to put an offer in, he recommended a different contract (cheaper) that hadn't been put in the system yet. I would email them and tell them what you are looking for specifically and then they can let you know when a contract that fits your needs becomes available.

I have... these two companies rarely have them available... so I need to expand the pool where I am looking.

I used Jaki/**** at ********** for my 1st purchase and Fidelity for my second one. Jaki/**** are more personal in their approach and will call you on the phone when a contract is found meeting your specs. Even their email responses were submitted within minutes of my asking a question. Jaki called me at home on Saturday to let me know we passed ROFR. I would not hesitate to use them again.

Fidelity used email contact only and were slower than Jaki/****. The usual response was the next day or later depending on if I emailed them on Friday. I had a problem with their Title company mailing the closing documents to an incorrect address instead of emailing them to me which delayed the process considerably. Other than that, they were okay to deal with...it is just that I was spoiled by Jaki/****.

I tried to use DVCbyResale but Shontell told me I was not serious enough about purchasing because I made a counter offer lower than what they had the contract listed. FYI, the purchase through Jaki/**** was for a comparable price.

I contacted The Timeshare Store but they did not have anything that met my particulars before I bought using someone else. I have not read anything bad on these boards about them and would not hesitate to use them for our next resale purchase.

BTW, where in Louisiana? We are in south Mississippi just outside of Hattiesburg.

We're in Baton Rouge. After reading your experience, I think I will be adding another thread about what happened to us with a listing we very much wanted. Sometimes it's not the agents who cause the problems, but the sellers. It's unfortunate, and very disappointing for serious buyers who are left in limbo.

Both of those companies also use Twitter. I got a "tweet" about new listings several hours before the e-mail came through. I was able to call, make a bid, and have it accepted... all before the e-mail came across with the contract I had just bought.

Ohhh, good to know. I know nothing about tweets, but I guess I need to learn then. We had a huge disappointment today and I'm licking my wounds about it. Maybe tweets are the way to go.

Thanks for all the links, everyone... Y'all are tops!!!

We were VERY fortunate today and snagged a contract that is just what we want. The original buyers backed out due to financing issues, so we snapped it up when given the chance. I just got back from overnighting the signed contract and check for payment. Now the waiting begins with the fingers crossed.

We ended up signing with Shontell over at dvcbyresale.com, so again, thanks to all who sent me that referral (both here in the thread and via PMs). I'm hopeful everything comes out perfect and I'll be sure to post all contract details once we clear ROFR. =)

Thanks!! We are paying a few $ more per point that other contracts I've seen go through, so I'm hopeful that Disney will think it's overpriced (for them) and pass on it. We decided it was better to pay $200 more and have a "bird in the hand" than continue to play the cat and mouse game!!!
