I've been watching the nfl site, but I'd like to know if there are any cheaper options? I figured if anyone knew of a good, alternative seller, you guys would. I know NFL tickets have NO place on the Budget Boards :rotfl2: but seeing Brett Favre play is at the top of my bucket list. It is certainly my dream to see him play at Lambeau Field, but I'm open to other games, if the price is right. Thanks (& yes, I'm pretty embarassed to mention this over-priced dream of mine) :confused3

Usually there isn't a place to get any type of 'discount' NFL tix. If it's sold out, like most of ours are, you are going to pay an arm and leg.

For our team, the Colts, I have them on my Facebook and I get their team newsletter via email. Several times, they have updated when the opposing team returned their unsold tix and offered them for sale to the public. I actually just got a set last week when some where released.

Otherwise, www.stubhub.com is usually reputable if you are looking to just pay for them. They guarantee authenticity. I worry about craigslist and such after several here got ripped off last year.

When we went to see the Patriots play last year, we bought our tickets from Stub Hub and had no problems at all! :)

Too bad you missed him when he was with the Packers because even on the secondary market their tickets are about the cheapest in the NFL! Try Checking Craigs list for the city you want to see them play in.
Have you considered a pre-season game those are usually easier to get.

I know! I'm supposed to babysit my baby nephew the week the Vikes play in Green Bay, but it would cost us about $2500 to go to that game :scared1: With tickets, airfare, & hotel stay. The Saints tickets are running around $1k EACH for the seats we'd want, but we wouldn't have to pay for airfare. It's just OUTRAGEOUS!!!!!!

If your dream is to see Brent play at Lambeau then you should plan on doing it this year as you simply don't know when he will finally retire. One of the most reputable place to buy tickets is Stubhub and you can get a pair for about $500 plus Stubhub fees. It looks like you can see the Vikings at home for a whole lot less. In addition, Minnesota has a TON more hotel rooms and you will pay a lot less to stay overnight than if you stayed in Green Bay.

The Packers game is 2 months away ... could your sister/brother find someone else to babysit for the weekend?

I have had sucess waiting until the week before a game, what happens is, home teams have to give visiting teams some tickets for players and coaches to use for family. What they dont use, they have to return to the home team. They in turn release the tickets for sale on Ticketmaster, I check on Thursday mornings. And it depends on who they are playing. You will have more sucess if an east coast team is playing a west coast team. Rivalry games are harder to get.

I did ask her & she is checking. I was supposed to have my precious nephew from the 19th-24th. I'm hoping her dad can help out on the 23rd-24th, which will give us time to fly up, if we go through with this! I know we can find better deals/easier times finding seats at another stadium, but I'd just LOVE to see Favre play at Lambeau popcorn::

Great idea! But what about airline tickets? We rarely fly anywhere, so does airfare go waaaaaay up right before the flight? And GB/Minn are definitely rivals, just hours apart, so I'm assuming there won't be many tickets left close to the game. I've noticed how the selection has gone way down since I checked last week.

And I checked on Stub Hub & there prices are just about the same as nfl.com. So, I will just wait this out :rolleyes1
