we are thinking of various day of week to go? Likely last week in April to May for 7 days, 8 nights. Anyone ever done a mon-mon or tues-tues etc stay? Any benefits doing that besides except for higher price for 2 Saturday stays?

We do this often but don't really see any benefit except for better airfare

Often closing times for weekends get extended including Sunday night. Mid to mid allows you to fully take advantage of the extended hours.

Have you had good luck to find rooms? I was doing quick searches just to look and doesn't seem too many mid openings. Unless you are booking way ahead of time?

we do this regularly because of airfare. you do sometimes have to do a split stay to get all your dates, IME.

I do this all the time. I am the payroll department for my office. We take payroll for our clients businesses, so Monday is a pretty rough day for me to take off. I can muscle them into getting it in for me by Monday, but by Friday of the workweek? Not as easy. Not impossible, but I save that request for very special occasions. I like Tuesday to Tuesday. Or Tuesday to Sunday.

We like Wednesday to Wednesday. Flights are cheaper and Saturday is our "rest day." It works for us since Saturday is a busy day in the parks.

We do Thursday to Thursday, works out cheaper with airfare. Also IMO I think most people go weekend to weekend so by getting there midweek you get a jump on the crowd that shows up and hits the ground running and instead deal with the crowd winding down their vacation and tiring out.

Before my daughter started kindergarten, we always left on a Tuesday and returned the following Thursday. We now leave on a Saturday and return the following Monday. Honestly, I liked our Tue-Thu schedule a heck of a lot better than our current Sat-Mon one. Airfare cost less and we only dealt with one weekend of crowds. I really can't complain though. I mean, we're in Walt Disney World ... there are a lot worse places to be!

We always do a Mon-Mon or Tues-Tues because I don't like starting the vacation with a weekend crowd.

You may not see many openings because it may be close to your arrival date and because the more nights you try to book the harder it is to find openings. It doesn't matter if you're starting the trip on a Monday or Saturday. Finding an available room for a week is going to be more difficult than finding a room for 2 or 3 nights.

we are traveling with iLs and they rather not do split stay ..maybe have to try to do a few nights at 1 resort, checkout/in for same if possible. I really like less crowds but DD is starting kindergarten this fall so have to deal with how many days "allowed" out

We always end up checking in/out on weekdays (my DD goes to her dad every other weekend so we usually have to work around that). We like it because traffic isn't as bad and we aren't checking in/out when a lot of people are.
