Reporting "live" from HGVC Sea World

If anyone needs me to find something out let me know! We have stayed at the Renaissance before and were nervous to switch, but so far so good! Room is fabulous! The walk is slightly longer than the walk from the renaissance. We also have a car so we walked once and drove once. I think we would stay here over the Ren for the quality of the room if given the choice. I can't believe I am saying that because I loved the Ren!

HGVC has less free activities for kids than the Ren but the activities are affordable if you need them. Movie choices are a bit too big kid for my 5 year old but overall after a long wait to get our luggage from storage while waiting for our room to be ready, things have been good!

did you have any problem getting the quick que pass? I have heard one reviewer on trip advisor said he was refused at the hcvc, that they had run out. This is imperative for us because we are traveling with a disabled child. Can you let me know how it works getting the quick que pass there or at any of the partner resorts anyone has stayed at, it needs to be a sure thing for us, thank you.

Yes! Can you tell me what size the refrigerators in the rooms are? My husband was asking me (I'm only concerned with space for my milk and yogurt, I think he's thinking about room for beer )

I had asked when I called HGVC and they told me that you can request them the day before at the Expedia desk which is open until 10PM. But OP can confirm (yay ).

Okay! We are in a 1 br suite and it has a full size fridge, washer dryer, balcony that seats 4, jacuzzi tub, shower, full kitchen and dining room. I think it was some 99 a night!! Huge bargain with free parking to boot.

We were able to reserve the rescue tour and quick queues with no problem. I already have the qq for tomorrow and picked it up around 10 this morning. Guessing it all depends on how crowded but we have had zero trouble with qq.

Oh! And the freezer has an ice maker which is awesome for cooling off. There is a blender, toaster, etc. my daughter asked if we could move here. Our room is admittedly larger than the first floor of our home.

You said there aren't many activities and movies are a bit geared to older kids/adults? My boys are a bit older than your child but pretty "young" in their tastes. Could you let me know a bit more about this?

Monday's child, thank you so much! One other question..is there a coffee maker or kettle in the room? I'm one of those people that needs a prescription for coffee ("Take 1 cup immediately upon waking") .

We're staying in a 1BR suite as well...this sound much more posh than our usual room at POP .

Coffee maker ... Check. Coffee and filters too. I don't drink coffee so I never noticed it. There is a microwave too.

We have done the pop too. You can fit two to three pops in here! Just got out of the jacuzzi tub, watched the sea world fireworks from our balcony, and I am feeling spoiled!

As for movies, they start at 9pm so they are geared for big kids and adults. My girl is only 5. For ex tonight was grown ups, the other day was parental guidance. They are not all animated like kiddie movies but still very family friendly.

Are there paper towels, dish detergent, garbage bags, shampoo and soap? We will be there next week and are trying to figure out if we need to bring these....

Everything is here. Detergent, paper towels, steak knives...you won't need a thing I don't think. Just pick up your snacks for the fridge. They will hold your cold items if your room is not ready.

One last question...under room amenities it lists "in suite coffee/ welcome caddy". Can you tell me what this is? Coffee fixins?

The caddy is a little basket that has coffee and condiments. No cream but sugar

I will try to post a little summary of the place in a few days.

I am sad to say I leave today! It has been a great vacation and my husband alerted me that our home AC broke yesterday and our house is 94 degrees inside! lol. Not exactly a welcome home!

I want to add I can't stand coffee. If I have to serve it at home I go out and buy it made already! So please double check the coffee stuff when you get here! I would hate to ruin a coffee morning on the balcony because I can't tell the difference between a coffee pot and a toaster! Lol

As for coffee I was going to pack extra (instant) just in case. I can't wait to read your summary.
