I am currently at the POLY
We are staying in concierge level and we have a bottom lagoon (castle) view room...(we were upgraded im guessing as we booked garden view).
Everyone was right, I dont want to stay anywhere but here from now on.
The lounge is nice..the food is plentiful and great.
The beach was wonderful the kids had fun with the other kids playing and building castles.
Both Pools were great..not crowded...they had activities for the kids...games at the pool. an hour in the arcade, neverland club actvities from 12-3, lei making, hula lessons.

how are the crowds and weather?

The longest line so far has been 40 minutes and that was for soaring...I am following TGM's plans for what parks to visit each day, so that may be helping. We have not waited more than 10 minutes for any line, with the use of fast passes and standby lines. Weather has been humid but no rain until about 5 or 6pm

I'm going to be having breakfast at Kona at 10:30am this morning (Saturday!) I'll have to wave hello to you!!!!

We are local, but are staying at Poly for one night in October. I can't wait to be on the monorail to get too and from the park!!! I have wanted to stay there forever (well three years since my first visit to the World - before we moved here!)

Thanks for the info. We're planning to stay there next time LVC, so it's great to hear that it is worth it.

How is the waterslide? We've only stayed at YC and GF, but my daughter wants to know how it compares?

Are there snacks in the lounge all day, or just breakfast and dinner appetizers?

The snacks run all day.. with an hour break in between each.
7-10 breakfast-muffins cereal bagels
11-4 snacks chips, cookies, gummy worms
5-7 night time-good variety of a lot of foods, alcohol
8-10 deserts-alcohol

You can bring the food and drinks(including alcohol) to your room or outside.

I havent been to the other pools, however the waterslide is good..pretty fast and you go through a tunnel.

Thanks, Kourtney. We will be there in 34 days! I am curious about the schedule for the children's activities. Do they give you list or is it just catch as catch can. . .?
