Reporter Incident at the Jets Practice

Sounds to me like she was a distraction to the players at practice and the coach should have asked her to leave (or cover up a bit).

I don't care what gender a so-called reporter is....

IMHO, locker rooms should be off limits to everyone but approved athletes and staff. Period.... no valid reason why this shouldn't be the teams sanctuary....

This! :thumbsup2

She really wasn't dressed that provocatively. She had on a tank top that was fitted, but nothing I wouldn't wear in front of my grandmother. Her jeans were really tight, but a lot of women wear tight jeans.

While I agree that she should have been dressed differently since her being there was in a professional capacity, I have know idea if this is the norm for her or not. What I would expect the norm to be for a coach of an NFL team and the players of the team is that they act like gentlemen and be able to focus on their job, even when such a distraction is present. We aren't talking about pubescent teens, we are talking about grown men who should know how to act in a professional manner when on the job.

My point was that the team was there to practice---players are being paid big bucks to win the next game. If they were so distracted by her presence that they were throwing the ball her way and interacting (including any comments made even among the players only) then the coach should have stepped in and removed the cause. If I'm not mistaken, a lot of practices and training camps are closed to anyone but the players so they can focus on getting ready for the game.

As a woman I think it is ridiculous. If the situation was the reverse and the women were whistling and *gasp* nude in the locker room everyone would be saying how lucky the guy reporter was. I would not have been insulted if the men were whistling at me and did she really think that the men just magically morphed into thier clothing? Really? Maybe the men should say they are uncomfortable having a woman in the locker room. After all, people are outraged here is a 7 year old boy comes into the ladies room.:surfweb:

Am I the only female that really dislikes female sideline reporters, announcers, commentators?

Nope, you aren't the only one. I'm all for womens equality and all of that but I would much prefer if it was all men reporting and announcing sports. Don't know why, just do.

I don't think she was dressed inappropriately. She had on jeans and a white button down blouse (at least on the interview that they played this morning on the Early Show.) The button down blouse wasn't buttoned all the way, and maybe she could have added an extra button, but she looked classy (IMO) and not trashy. I don't think she's to "blame."

:thumbsup2 Totally agree. BTW I don't find it insulting being whistled at - I like it! Glad I'm not the only one ;)

She will be on the Today Show in a little bit this morning.

Men need to learn to keep their comments to themselves, if for no other reason than to protect themselves from accusations of harassment. And frankly guys, we aren't impressed, enthralled or flattered when you whistle, cat-call or make comments. It makes you look like a jerk.
I'm flattered:confused3 Not that it happens much anymore. I am never sure if it is my age or societal pressure on the guys--I think some of both; it still happens once in a while in Mexico and Italy.

I agree with both of the above:thumbsup2 I also do not understand wy this is a story at all given that the woman had no issue with the behaviour:confused3

Maybe the person who reported it was a woman who was offended that the guys weren't whistling at her instead?:rolleyes1

if a man reporter sees a naked female athlete naked in the locker room, i will bet he will be the one to get the blame. the men reporters are probaly not even allowed in the ladies locker room. if your a lady reporter and go inside the mens locker room you should know that you might see naked men. some of the guys will probaly like it some wont care and some will not like it at all.
the same with the lady reporters some will like it with the naked men in there some wont care and some wont like it.

Did you look at the pictures? You think wearing a pear of jeans that lifts and tightens your booty like its made of cement is classy? LMAO wow. It probably took her half an hour to actually get those jeans on..
