Or, the timing glitch alone would allow Eddie to "Modify" all 3 FPs if he went into the FP area by choosing Modify even if he had no extra ticket entitlements?

I think it's the first case. It's the extra entitlements plus the timing glitch.

"Modify" would be a version of the old glitch that KtP found and that glitch got closed FAST once it went public. However, maybe that glitch is back too. I kind of feel like it might be. Ah if only I was a local AP LOL.

Eddie, thanks for you all of your work on this, it was very interesting to follow along. If the loophole closes at some point, come back and report! Til then enjoy!

Thank you, Eddie, for taking the time to research! And, if you wanted to experiment for Tiered parks, you could possibly change out Tier 1 to Tier 1 rides before you use all three.

I'm going to WDW in July with an AP for 8 consecutive park days. I will attempt the same experiment and report back my findings. With luck, someone else will try it before July.

Tried this yesterday and it didn't work - had the same error as others that we'd have to remove us from the fastpass + party.

I tried this multiple times this week. All day, all parks, all ways....and it did not work.

Same here. I tried Friday, Saturday and Sunday to no avail. Bummer.

With extra tickets it's best to do this:
Add phantom guests to your MDE
Reassign the tickets to them
Pre-select FPs for the phantoms
Use your FPs by tapping the tickets at the FP lines
No need to wait until later in the day if you have tickets to preselect FPs and enter the park with 6 FPs.

Hoping that this works myself:

With extra tickets it's best to do this:
Add phantom 'names' to your MDE that has your Resort Reservation linked because we have extra capacity in the room
Assign AP Vouchers to them (which do allow you do book FP+ in advance)
Pre-select FPs for the phantoms
Use your FPs by tapping the 'MB linked to the phantom names that are linked to the AP vouchers' at the FP lines
No need to wait until later in the day if you have tickets to preselect FPs and enter the park with 6 FPs.

Did anyone without an AP ever try this with a day remaining on your park tickets without any fast-passes selected? I know some were questioning if that would allow this to work by have selections still open.

There's no reason to "gamble" away a day of FPs that can be scheduled up to 60 days in advance. If you wanted to schedule additional FPs each day upon arrival at a park, @ScrapYap's thread has excellent information.

I just read through this entire thread and... . I don't have a smart phone and no definite trip WDW planned, but I like to keep up on these things and I have to admit that I am totally confused about phantoms on tickets and obtaining more FPs than Disney "intends" us to have.
