I had the opportunity to ride along with John in the Owner's Locker delivery van this morning. We made deliveries at BWV, OKW, SSR, POR and WL. I was once again impressed with the rapport OL has with the Bell staff at each resort and the overall efficiency of the operation. They are in the process of implementing an even more exacting warehouse inventory program which will cut the OL staff time and improve the accuracy of the system as more staff are added in the future.

I also got a brief tour of the climate controlled storage facility and the warehouse system in place at this time. John and Brian continue to do a great job of providing a true service for their members. Kudos to the OL team! :)

:woohoo: Very cool to get an inside peek and ride along! I couldn't do without my OL, they do a great job!

Wow, Rob, that sounds like fun! Sorry we have missed you this trip. I keep watching for you, but haven't seen you yet.

So Doc -- are we going to one day see you wearing a purple shirt and repeating to all whom you see..."Have a Disney Day"????

:lmao::thumbsup2;)

John would be a great mentor for your next career!
:):thumbsup2

How very cool for you! Thanks for sharing and the pics of the warehouse were fun to see.

...and here's our trusty webmaster and ace bellman Randy inspecting the purple van at Old Key West this morning...

Hey, we just left VWL this morning and saw the purple van prior to leaving. I even took a picture of it! Looked around for you John to make your acquaintance. I know you were there picking up my locker!

I'm another fan of Owner's Locker - a great idea put to work for us all!

Thanks for the pics! Not what I had envisioned, actually. I thought there would be shelves that the lockers were stored on. There's a lot of weight resting on those lockers at the bottom of the pile!

Wow, sort of like a backstage tour of Owner's Locker. :cool1:

I specialize in inventory and warehouse management re-engineering for the Navy. It's always interesting to me to see logistics solutions in the private sector.

Is there any kind of automation in the warehouse? Specialized material handling equipment (MHE) that can pick and place the lockers in those stacks, or is it all man-handled into place?

I can't remember -- is there a barcode on the outside of the lockers? Radio frequency identification chips?
