My family and I visited WDW for Thanksgiving 2002 and was told that the Tapestry of Dreams would be replaced by a different parade in 2003. Does anyone know what will take, or what has taken, it's place?

We will be visiting WDW again this year, possibly August. What other new things should I expect?

Thanks.

There's no firm info yet. To my knowledge, the only thing supporting the rumor that ToD will be replaced is the fact that it was not specifically mentioned in Disney's new 2003 promotional video.

For now, it is still listed on the March 2003 schedules (which is relevant because it falls after the end of the 100 year celebration). You will probably have to inquire again closer to your trip time for more accurate info.

I did read on the New york Times website where the lady incharge of the revamp was hired to add some new theatrics to the parks is in charge of it.

Could be interesting. She seems to have done a good job onthe new Aladdin in Calif.

We shall see....

Does anyone have the number to call for the 2003 promotional video?
This may sound crazy but I have been collecting them for several years.

Thanks

We first saw this parade 2 years ago when my DS was 2. I can't tell you what an impact this parade had on him. He is now 4 and still talks about it. We watch the video at least once a week, have the cd with the music on it. He can't wait to see it again this May. he specifically remembers the puppets and the big drum.

I will be very sad if this is gone by May.

I agree - I was at Disney for New Year's 2000 and I can't even tell you how fantastic it was watching tapestry of nations followed by illumination on new year's eve. Even my boyfriend (who tries to be tough all the time) was touched.

I really hope they keep it around.

From what I've heard, it's leaving in the next couple of months. Don't know about a replacement but I read on the New York Times website that a replacement is in the works. I think there's a post about this on the News and Rummors Board here on the DIS.
