Replacing Active tickets with AP in MDE

My DS has a 10 day non expiring park hopper with water park pass active in MDE. (It has a handful of park days and 6 or 7 water parks days left on it.)

I just purchased DVC Gold passes for our July trip. I want to make sure that for this trip and any trips in the next year, MDE uses the AP and NOT the pass.

How do I ensure that the AP is active and not the 10 day pass? Is it as simple as just hitting Deactivate in MDE for the 10 day?

I still need to be able to use the 10 day pass for water park days, but it does not have to be on a MB. If I deactivate the pass in MDE, will he still be able to use the card?

Thanks.

Go to guest services before you enter your first park and have them "prioritize" the tickets - AP first, 10-day second. The AP will be used in the parks and water park tickets will be pulled from the AP when you go to a water park. If you do go to a water park, I would just stop by guest services AGAIN when entering your next theme park and make sure that AP is still in the priority position.
