Replacing a person

We are less than 41 days out for an 11 night stay at CR. If my DH can't go at the last minute due to work can my sister take his place? Would we just have to switch the name on the ressie She'd be flying from somewhere else, would she be able to get the Magical Express at a different time than DD and I? I just want to prepare myself for the worst!

You really should call Disney about this. I think a lot of us could speculate, but this is a legitimate situation for a cast member to help you sort out.

I would assume the reservation would be no problem, but you might need to do a little finagling with the Magical Express thing.

It's not a problem, we've done it before. Just call & have his name deleted as a guest, and her name and flight info added as a guest & it will be fine! We've done this within just a few days of the trip & all went well.

Thanks so much! I've been a little worried that DH will have his vacation approval cancelled at the last minute. I REFUSE to cancel this trip and we will go without him but I'd love to have my sister or a friend join me if this happens. It'll be DH's treat of course

You can change the person ahead of time -OR- at check-in.

Just beware that if you do it too close to arrival date your sister will not have any DME tags for her luggage. They can be overnighted, from what I've read.

The only issue is if your DH is the lead guest on the reservation. Then it will be a major problem; they won't change the primary guest.
