Our kids will have lots of other character meals to enjoy, so they won't be hurting by losing one. Which one should we drop in order to try The Wave, or should we just pay OOP for one of these three? We haven't done CM's in 7 years (and that was before kids). We have never done LTT and not sure what to expect at The Wave--I'm assuming it will be a 1 TS place.

I'd keep the other two and book The Wave as a third for now, just incase the menu is bad or something.

I'd replace Chef Mickeys, and I love the food at LTT and the character interation is great there. I feel the characters are rushed at Chef Mickey's.

Since the Wave is brand new we can't go by any reviews yet because it's not opened. I have been to Chef Mickey's a few times for dinner, but never to LTT. I guess it's up to you if you want to visit the Contemporary on two seperate occasions for two different restaurants?

What type of restaurant is the wave and where is it located?
Here is their menu, a description about it from WDW and it's going to be located in the 1st floor lobby of Disney's Contemporary Resort, where the Food & Fun Center use to be located.

If I were to choose either Chef Mickey's or LTT, I would choose Chef Mickey's. LTT was good for lunch, but we didn't love it for the character dinner. We did really enjoy Chef Mickey's for dinner. There was a good variety of food to choose from and it was a fun environment. This was just our experience.

I'm in the same situation. I keep on debating wether or not to cancel one of my ADRs and book the Wave instead.

I love going to Chef Mickeys, however the food is so bad there, something needs to be done.

Food at LTT is fantastic at lunch time, so so at dinner time. LTT needs to start serving breakfast. The one time we attended a special event and were served breakfast at LTT it was outstanding.

What is so great about LTT at lunch time? I haven't eaten there for anything so I just figured we'd do dinner because it's characters. What do you find so awful about Chef Mickey's at dinner?

I think the desserts sound interesting. And if they're "mini" it means I'll probably be able to sample more then one.

Everyone has their own experiences with Disney dining, but this is what we liked about LTT lunch: it was hot when we went, so it was a nice cool break in the day. It was quiet and low-key with a nice Colonial atmosphere.
The service was attentive and the food was really good! You can check out the menu on allears, but it was like homecooked, fresh and hot. Everyone in our party had different meals and enjoyed them. The pot roast was awesome.

(On separate trip:) LTT character dinner: Noisy, crowded and service was lacking for us. The characters were dressed cute but interaction was just so-so. The food is ok, served family style. My DS loved it because is a growing teenager and not picky as long as it is plentiful, which it was.
Sorry, but I felt pretty icky after eating dinner there, and not because I ate too much. That was just our experience and we know that places can be hit or miss.

On the other hand, we actually enjoyed Chef Mickey's for dinner!
We hit the buffet at a great time where almost all the food put out was hot and fresh. The carving meats were good and the mashed potatoes were awesome! The dessert buffet is one of the best for make your own sundaes.
The service was fairly good but the character interaction and fun atmosphere was what made the experience for us.

Even though I read reviews both positive and negative alike, I like to try things for myself and go with little expectation. Sometimes we concur that a place is going on our cross off list and sometimes we like it!
We've tried a lot and have developed our personal favs.

I'd love to be a "secret diner" for Disney and do little restaurant reviews!
I think I missed my calling! I know lots of DIS people could be good at that job!
