Repeat visitors, growing kids, all attractions vs favourites only?

When I was a teen I remember refusing fantasyland until about half way through the trip when we hit them all near closing when the "babies" had all left the park and their were no lines. bIt's less embarassing ti ride Pooh when no one's around vs waiting in line with 4 year olds at 1pm
