Thanks to my kitties, my leather furniture is scratched up. Any recommendations for good at home repair kits for leather that work pretty well? I'm not expecting it to come out like new, just better than it looks now.

I would like to know too. We have a deep maroon leather sofa that has many scratch marks and wear from just getting up and down on it. It was an expensive set and in a few years, looks terrible. Not enough dye in the leather I guess.
I am afraid to try to put something dark on it myself to cover up the scuffs as it might get on our clothes too!
Any suggestions?

I have a brownish tan recliner that Annie my deceased poodle scratched. I used DH's shoe polish, applied it and buffed it off. You couldn't even see the scratches. The "fix" did wear off however and I haven't bothered to look for a permanent shoe dye although I think it would work. There are companies that will come to your home and repair it. The estimate I got for the chair is $150. I think I will look for shoe dye.

Check a horse, saddle, western wear shop. We had to buy something to cover a scratch on a seat in a leased car. Our leather was a lighter leather that the normal shoe polish colors wouldn't work.
