Pot? Kettle? You're not serious are you? And you don't think you have your outraged republican template down to a fine art?

#2Well...I guess at least he didn't accuse our military of being "cold blooded murderers" like Murtha did. Now THAT is someone who owe's a HUGE appology - but I won't hold my breath.
Because Michelob, Bacardi, Budweiser, or Absolut wouldn't make as much sense.![]()

) made him say something "impolitic".The only apology that should be made is one from President Bush to the people of the USA. What a mess he has created. I feel sorry for the democrat that wins the next election having to clean up after 8 years of this disaster.

Actually closer to 6 years by the time he leaves office.... but what the heck. Feels like 8.The only apology that should be made is one from President Bush to the people of the USA. The upside is that GW set some nice precedents for the executive branch to use power. I can't wait to hear the outrage from all the Bush supporters when Hillary (or whoever) uses the SAME powers that GW used!![]()
Provided this same power is used on people who want to kill us all, I do not have a problem.
Are you suggesting that Democrats are going to start persecuting their political adversaries using the Patriot Act? Is this something you condone? Seems......well.......um........totalitarian doncha think?
WASHINGTON, D.C. Ð House Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH) today issued the following statement regarding remarks made on the House floor by Rep. Pete Stark (D-CA) during the debate on the State ChildrenÕs Health Insurance Program (SCHIP):
"Our troops in Iraq are fighting against al-Qaeda and other radical jihadists hellbent on killing the people we are sent here to represent. Congressman StarkÕs statement dishonors not only the Commander-in-Chief, but the thousands of courageous men and women of AmericaÕs armed forces who believe in their mission and are putting their lives on the line for our freedom and security. Congressman Stark should retract his statement and apologize to the House, our Commander-in-Chief, and the families of our soldiers and commanders fighting terror overseas."
During debate on the SCHIP children's health care legislation today, Rep. Stark stated: "You don't have money to fund the war or children. But you're going to spend it to blow up innocent people if we can get enough kids to grow old enough for you to send to Iraq to get their heads blown off for the President's amusement."
...
If his comments accurately represent his constituencies point of view, fine. He has done his job.
He should apologize! It's crass, shameful, and disrespectful.![]()
As a congressman he certainly should know how to disagree without stooping that low.
This isnt about supporting the war or supporting the troops. Its about the rep saying the president finds soldiers deaths amusing.

If that is all you took from his statement, that is all you WANTED to take out of it.![]()
He is expressing the anger that many AMericans are feeling.
He is not disrespecting the troops. He is pissed at the President for entering into a war of choice, poorly equipt, poorly staffed, and thoroughly unable to handle the aftermath of the war. We are stuck in a quagmire that will drain us financially for decades. The innocent loss of life of Iraqis and Americans will continue.
Yeah he is angry. I am too.
