DH, DD(7.5) :earsgirl: , DS(4) :earsboy: and I are headed to WDW in June....Has anyone ever rented strollers from companies other than WDW? I found a place on the web that has doubles for $75 week and less...Can't justify buying a double just for the trip. My DD is tiny so she should be fine wt wise in them...
Any suggestions, opinions, help????

Subscribing because we are also contemplating this option :)

I haven't tried this service, but it has been mentioned here on the DIS many times, and has gotten rave reviews. I wish I had know about them when my kids were younger. The company is called "A Baby's Best Friend"

You could also pick up a used stroller for the trip and resell it afterwards. It would probably end up costing less and you would get a better stroller. Also, you would have it in the airport. Of course, then you would have to pack up and ship the stroller which can be a pain.

I would definetly look into used baby shops or consignment shops in your area. Even if you could pick one up for $75 and keep it until something like this comes up again you've got your money worth!!

Hi!

I don't know how you are getting to and from the airport to resort but if you are planning to book a car - some of the car services rent strollers as part of their package! :moped:

Have a great time!

Thanks for all the help. Going to rent instead of buying....kids won't need one on the next trip.. Now the next question is....

A Baby's Best Friend or Family Rentals of Orlando???

Looked into both and of course they both seem legit!
Anyone used either of them?

We have used A Baby’s Best Friend (www.abbf.com) numerous times on our trips to WDW. They are great to rent from. All the items are delivered to our resort before we get there, and everything is always very clean and well maintained. We have used other services like this in other areas of the country, and ABBF is the best by far. We are always very pleased, and highly recommend them.

They receive a lot of praise on these boards, also.

JMHO - Why would you rent a stroller for every day usage with your children being old enough to primarily walk with you? I would just do a multi-day rental for the park's double strollers. That's what we did b/c we don't need a stroller while not inside the parks. There's a discount. I think it was around $37 for 5 days of a double rental... can't really remember it was last June. I wouldn't want to lug a double stroller around. I had one at home until I ran over it in my driveway :teeth:

I was under the impression that WDW only had single strollers. So, they have doubles too? How does the multi-day rental work? Thank you so much for your info :cool1:

Yet another option....over on the Budget Board I run a Stroller Swap. It's a Stroller that is free to DISers and stays at WDW being passed from one DISer to another. What you could do (if your dates are open) is get the SS stroller to use for your little one and then if/when your oldest needs one you can rent a single stroller.
PM me for details on swapping and how this all works or you can go to the BB and up at the top it has Stroller Swap.
