Renting RV

We are from NC and are thinking of renting an RV for our Florida Vacation travel. Has anyone ever rented an RV? If so what was your experience?

Actually probably the most enjoyable time we ever had at Disney was in a rented RV and stayed at Fort Wilderness campground. Really relaxing and always things for the kids to do at night with the campfire movies and other planned activities.

We looked into doing it. When you figure in the cost for the rental of the rv, the gas, and the spot to park it in, it was cheaper to rent a hotel room in disney on site. Much cheaper. We may still try it someday, but every time we look at doing it we can't justify the added expense.
