Anyone know of a place that rents really small trailers to use at FW?

I'm used to backpacking and sleeping in a really small tent. I really don't need much in the way of accoutrements. I just want to be off the ground and out of possible early November rain.

Everything I've seen are huge and expensive. I really don't need anything that big or fancy.

Greenberg rv rental just posted a handful of nice and small trailers available for rent, some as low as 329 for the week.

CynJ, welcome to the camping forum.

Have you considered a tent rental from the Fort? They are sizeable tents (4man) that are tall enough to stand up in. They also rent kots with them as well. Maybe a cheaper option? More of what your used to?

It's a good idea but I thought those were only for groups of 20 or more. Not single campers.

lol what's funny is I can probably pack all my backpacking gear (2 person tent included) in a large suitcase that I could check on the plane. I was just hoping for a popup or something that would be a little more substantial. @moesy4 's suggestion is a good one - Greenberg has a few small trailers.

Greenberg does, and has a good reputation. The tents can be rented on an individual basis if needed.

Either way you should be able to get what you want.

That's good that Greenberg got some very small trailers to meet the needs of couples or groups of 3-4 at most. That helps lower the price point for the rental when adding it to the cost of the site.

Never rented a trailer since I have my own but a smaller unit would make the trailer/site combo more of an option for friends and family (as if we need more people booking Fort campsites).

lol

I was actually looking at little motorcycle tow behind campers which my car could handle pulling.

I've seen some very neat/interesting motorcycle small car sized pop up type trailers at the RV shows...they get very creative!

Perhaps that is the "tent" rental business to start....

Google "Teardrop" for Motorcycles and you may be surprised at what's out there.

Mind if I ask what you pull it with? And what it weighs?

I was drooling over some earlier that my little Subaru station wagon was able to pull. Now I just need to win Powerball lol
We pull with Jeep patriot, but have seen one being towed with a mini Cooper. 700lbs weight with air. Easier to move than my fridge. We paid about 3 grand, classed as utility trailer.

My wife takes it camping by herself. Lots of folks come to our rallies in their Runaways to share ideas and enjoy the great outdoors.

There are some really small camper trailers.

One is Go Little Guy.
