Renting questions

Hi everyone,

Can someone with experience renting points tell me what the typical deposit is, how it is sent, when the final payment is due, and what the cancellation penalty is? Also, if you have an existing reservation, at what point do you put it in the renter's name and can you switch it back if things fall through?

In general, is it better to bank (if you have the option) or rent (I feel an 'it depends' response coming, but thought I'd ask)

Also, can someone tell me where the point calculator is?

All of the details are negotiable. Both member and renter should be confortable the arrangement, but the member does hold all of the cards and is in control of the transaction.
