Renting Poly 7 months out

Hi.
Is a standard view studio at the Poly usually available 7 months out from travel dates? Or does this need to be rented 11 months in advance? There's a great thread on here with DVC booking patterns but I don't think the Poly is listed on it (or I missed it?).

I don't think there is enough history for the tracking info on the Poly.
Availability depends on when you want to go. 7 months for Jan would be easy, 7 months for summer could be difficult. And as all the DVC resorts go, fall is very difficult.

The Poly isn't listed because it's not sold through, which means any data is not especially predictive.

Poly is often available 7 months out, but for fall there were many weeks with holes as of the 7 month date, and early December is also difficult. If it is really important to you to rent at Poly, try to rent before 7 months. The broker may not have points for Poly and it may become a 7 month booking anyway, or you may lose availability.

October is difficult. When I switched my reservation at 7 months last year I couldn't get all my nights, and I was an owner (another resort) at 8AM.

If you want to be sure, 11 months, take a chance, 7 months.

For October, I would add an adjective like much worse.

Smaller resort, Food & Wine.

In order to secure a Poly reservation in October you probably will need to book with an owner that can book in the home resort advantage period. Otherwise you would need an owner online at exactly 8:00 am 7 months and even then you may not get it. October is extremely popular with DVC owners/renters and in my experience the past few years popular studios typically are booked prior to 7 months or at exactly 8 am 7 months out. If you are set on the Poly and not set on traveling in the fall you would probably have much better luck at other times of the year. I personally was able to book 2 studios for a full week each for the end of March about 4.5 months out.

Not sure about Oct but I was able to book a few nights mid May at 7 months out. book something at 11 months and then if you can switch at 7 months great. If not at least you have a place to stay

Unfortunately the OP is looking at renting and I don't think a lot of DVC owners are looking to mess around with booking at 11 months and then switching the reservation unless they personally know the renter-it is more hassle and no benefit
