Renting points

I'm new, so I hope this is the appropriate place for this question. I've rented points for a 3 day, Tue thru Thru stay. (only 42 by the charts) for BCV studio. This is so much less ($420 vrs $1400) than booking through Disney. Are there more fees that I'm unaware of, taxes or something I'm missing?

No, there are no taxes. However, please remember that if you desire daily maid service you will have to pay extra for that. I believe that it is $25 per day, but it may be more.

Nope! There are no taxes or additional fees with a DVC reservation. You will not get daily housekeeping (but can pay for the service if desired- just ask and make the arrangements at check-in). Charges applied to the room will be your responsibility (purchases, dining, phone calls- all may be charged to your room ID).

Hi, We've just rented 42 pionts for BCV, which according to the chart is the correct amount for April 12, (3 week days) Am I missing something? This is $420 and the same studio through Disney was close to $1400. Seem too good to be true or I'm very niave. Are there more fees, taxes, or something I'm not understanding? I don't want to be surprised or rather unprepared when we arrive.

Look at the rental contract you signed. Most of the time (from what I understand) there are not other fees. Rentors don't charge tax. There are not additional fees from Disney, unless you want daily maid service. For a 3 night stay you won't have any housekeeping services.

I would say you got a deal!
