Renting points with David's

Those of you who have rented points from David's Rental have you ever had issues with them not responding to emails? I have tried twice now to request a villa. I always get the initial email stating what is available, but if I respond to the email to ask questions I don't get a response. I called the first time this happened and was told I needed to respond to the email so it was in writing. However, I got no response. Just curious if this has happened to others.

I actually tried a few weeks ago and experienced the same thing...I talked to someone but they were hesitant to answer anything that I had asked until I filled out the online request. I filled it out and nothing since. I am not going to book until january so I havent pused the issue. I am still torn between renting a timeshare for 8 days at OKW or booking at CBR or POL. But in regards to davids...I have read nothing but good reviews.

We rented through David this past July. They always responded to my emails very promptly (within the hour if it was during their normal business hours). Through the boards, I have read that they have had a higher demand lately, so it may be difficult for them to find matches for point rental requests. This may be causing the delay in response... While this may be the case, it would be nice to hear from them just saying they are working to find you a match. Sorry to hear you've had to wait. Good luck!!

I would rent 11mos in advance. especially if you want Christmas time. (or a certain resort-- Bay Lake and a few others fill up right away.)

Owners can book at 11 months at their home resorts, 7 mos for non home resorts.

This. We rented in October for our July trip and were able to get out first choice (standard view studio at BWV).

I just booked with David's yesterday, no issues for me. They were excellent to deal with and got back to me in a very timely manner.

I booked with them last year, no issues, everything was answered promptly and it was a smooth process. We have since bought our own DVC but if we hadnt I wouldnt hesitate to use them again!

I heard back after the second time of trying to book with them. I emailed back stating I would like to make the reservation they have available. How long should it take to hear something back from them now? Thanks for the responses.

Same here, plus their competitor is local.... I felt more confident with them than David's and saved more $$$$

Timeshare Store, they charge $12 per point and sometimes have last minute deals...

We used stayatwdw. They were fast to reply to all of my emails, often outside of normal business hours. They answered everyone of my questions since this is our first time and never made me feel bad for asking.

I rented through David's last year and had no problems with them. All of my emails were answered in a timely manner & they were friendly in emails and by phone.
