Renting points in BCV in Early Nov. 09

Hi I am new and I know my dates are a long way off.

Just wondering do most people manage to find someone willing to rent points or will I have a hard job to find them.

You'll likely be able to find someone fairly easily that will rent a reservation to you. WHile it is usually referred to as "renting points" you actually rent a reservation from a DVC member.

People that own at BCV won't be able to book your November 2009 dates until December 2008. People that own at other DVC resorts would be able to book villas at BCV in April 2009.

You'll want to have a member with BCV points make that reservation for you at 11 months out, especially if you are looking at Thanksgiving, Veterans Day or Jersey Week.

...so if I want to do October 2009 since I'm having ZERO luck with 2008. I would post a request in November 2008?? I just want to finally get it right and maybe finally do DVC.

You really want to post that request in October, so someone can call for you right at eleven months. Particularly if you want Boardwalk Standard View or Boardwalk View - someone will need to call day by day for you to ensure that. And I'd plan on paying more than $12 a point - offer more than that to compensate someone for their time. If you set the price you are willing to pay high enough, and aren't looking for something impossible, you shouldn't have any trouble finding an owner.
