Renting Points....How long before the request is filled?

Hi guys,
We have a couple of requests submitted through one of the "Big Brokers". One is for two studios at BCV .............(dates removed by Mod).......and the other is for another two studios at AKL........ (Dates removed by Mod).......... I know it is really hard to give an accurate answer but just curious about the experience others have had on average, how long it takes to fill these requests? TIA!!!!!

It depends on the broker's "inventory" of BCV & AKV points. The 7 month window isn't open yet. There is just no way to predict when a BCV or AKV owner will contact the broker with points to rent that are valid for your dates.

Once the 7 month window opens, any owner's points will work and if there is still availability for what you want, your order(s) should be filled quite quickly.

It depends on their inventory of points, I think. If they don't have the points, then it takes a while to fill the order.

we have a very good rental thread here on Disboards. They are usually cheaper than most brokers and they are an effective way to get what you want when u want it.!!

I agree with codina818. Give a disboard poster a chance. Everything I've read says the transactions usually go flawlessly. They sometimes offer a similar contract to the large brokers.

And, as I understand it, because the "asks" outweighed the offers. Which is seemingly what is happening with brokers as well.

I also suggest taking a look over at the rental board to see what is available. There may be folks with your requested home resort with points available and will be able to make the reservations before the 7th month window

I did a rental this year with one of the big brokers and I had a answer and a contract within 2 days for AKV but we were within the 7 months. put request in march for sept stay

Thanks for all the info guys! Keeping our fingers crossed that our requests come through. We have used this broker in the past and they are GREAT to work with! As you all can imagine, we are just getting antsy waiting for the confirmation numbers!!! haha
