What happens if those renting points they have to change or cancel reservation. What occurs between the renter and the seller?

It would be dependent on the agreement between the renter and rentee. A fair portion make it non refundable, myself included.

Thanks! We posted this on another board and got the same answer. We are not planning on changing our dates we just wanted to know what to do in the worst case scenario (actually, we haven't even booked yet)

It's one of the risks one takes for the savings involved. You may want to search for someone with more liberal policies than most though it's likely you'll pay more for that protection/flexibility. Good luck.

Agree with Dean. Even though many owners consider the transaction to be non-refundable, some will allow rescheduling within certain paramters. It really depends on what points will be used to secure the reservation.

As already posted, it depends entirely on the agreement between the owner and you. Be sure you ask and understand your change/cancellation options before you commit and send money. Policies will vary between owners. Know that Disney will not get involved in any dispute.
