Hi all! If this isn't the right board, please move me where appropriate. I haven't visited since the split.

I am thinking of renting points for a family reunion trip in May 2007. I think that our best bet will be 4 studios. If I find someone who can rent enough points, would a member be able to reserve 4 studios for us or are they limited to the number of rooms in one booking?

Also, would it be worth renting from 2 people if that's what it took to get the points we needed?

Final question, is it better to find a renter whose home resort is where we want to stay and rent at 11 months out (if I can find someone ready to rent then) than any member at 7 months out?

Oh wait, one more....I seem to remember that there are a limited number of Standard rooms at Boardwalk...is that right?

Thank you so much for the help!! I'm would love to stay at some of the DVC resorts for this trip, but am afraid that it will just be out of reach due to the number of us.

You can rent from one or multiple DVC members but it would be best to do so from one you trust and somewhat better to get all from one person. If you can't get them all from one owner, at least get each unit from a person if possible rather than trying to link a reservation mid stay. Finding one who has where you want as a home resort will allow you to reserve sooner. There are a limited number of standard view units at BW and getting four will be tough. For that you'd have to reserve right at 11 months out and likely do so day by day, thus you'd need a BWV owner.

If I were you, I'd get a 2 BR and 2 studio so you have he full kitchen. Or even go for the GV or 2 BR at OKW for more room and a larger kitchen.
