Renting points for Grand villa?

Hello! We are looking to travel at the end of July, 2017, and are hoping to rent points through a rental company for a grand villa. Our top choices are BWV, BLT or AKV. Has anyone successfully done this and secured a grand villa? I was looking at the DVC Rental Store for point renting but I am open for suggestions. Thanks in advance!

That is what I am thinking. Does anyone have thoughts on the DVC Rental Store versus David's? If there is another rental company worth considering, please let me know

I used David's 2 years ago and the service was great. I only needed a 2 bedroom villa though. As far as resorts I stayed at the AKL and BLT both are beatif resorts, but my lil ones prefer the BLT. Hope His helps

Coordinating a 3 BR in that situation will be tough. You need enough points and you need to reserve at 11 months out day one at opening. Even then you might not get it. Would a 2 BR and a studio do as well for you? It'd be cheaper and a lot easier and for many it's a better choice anyway.

Main issue is simply finding an owner (or possibly two owners to make two successive reservations that get linked) with enough points for rent to book a GV. A broker would likely be a good place to look. I am aware of David's because I have sent several people to his organization, and those have been pleased with the result. I have seen mention of, but really know little about www.dvcrentalstore.com

Last half of July is one DVC's lowest demand times of the year. BLT and AKV Kidani GV's should be open even at 7 months out when owners of other resorts can reserve there. There is even a decent chance that AKV Jambo and BWV may be open at 7 months out (both were open for the week of July 24-31, 2016 at 7 months out). There should be no problem booking any of those GV's at 9 to 11 months out.

You can also split it into two reservations if you can't find enough points from one person. There is always the chance you could have to change rooms so you could do a split stay also.
