renting points..confirmation package??

We are renting points in Nov. and I was wondering if a package (like the ones people get when using a TA) will come with luggage tags, etc. I assume the person we rented points from will send it to us. She already sent a package with a big lollipop in it for our DD! Thanks!

All the DVC member reservations receive is the written confirmation. Those luggage tags, guide books, and other "gifts" are included in the price of packages that TAs book.

If you are talking about luggage tags for Magical Express, I haven't used that program, so I don't know if the Member will receive that info or if Disney will send it to you directly.

Typically the only thing you will get from your Renter is a copy of your reservation. This is a private transaction not like going through a TA.

If you choose to book ME through disney you will then get the yellow luggage tags to move your luggage to your room.

No. She will get a confirmation letter, but that will be it. There will be no planning materials, none of the pre-trip hype, no luggage tags. DVC runs off the dues paid by members, so they try to keep mailings and such to a minimum. Few of us here would be thrilled to pay a couple extra bucks a year in dues to get luggage tags for every trip - some of us take several trips a year! Its also assumed that DVC members don't need to be reminded to make PSs or have suggestions sent to them "customized" for their party.

so how do we use the ME without luggage tags? We gave our flight info to the DVC owner to make the ressies.

If the member you are renting from is handling the DME reservations, you will receive that information directly from DME. It will consist of an information packet (specific to DME) and will include the yellow luggage tags for that program. Those tags usually arrive a short while prior to your arrival date- so for a November arrival you might expect them in late October or even November (ours arrived the day before our arvial date).

Some Disney packages will include luggage tags as a complimentary gift- these are NOT the tags used for DME, they are more luggage ID's instead. You will not get anything like that for your DVC stay.
