Renting points...can we pool hop and get free valet?

I know when we rented points last time, our keys said "DVC MEMBERS" on them. Is this what we need to show to pool hop? Can we pool hop anywhere except AKL and SAB?

Also, are we entitled to free valet service? Is it only at DVC resorts, or anywhere there is a valet?

you can probably still pool hop

but DVC has changed the rules for valet parking.

they now say you can only valet park for free if you are staying at that dvc resort. so if you are staying at VWL you can valet park here for free, but not the one at BWV or BCV.

I think the valet parking is surpose to ask for the blue membership card????

I see...so we probably can only valet park at BWV while we stay there. If we hop over to VWL for dinner, no can do.

Blue membership card, huh? So, do you think that is because technically guests renting points are NOT allowed to valet? I don't want to do something and then feel dumb getting "busted." when I didn't mean to try to get away with anything! LOL!

Technically, renters are not suppossed to get any DVC member perks. It never hurts to ask, though. Depending on the CM, you may get the dining discounts/valet parking/pool hopping, etc. If the CMs tell you "No" then don't fight it, but you may get lucky.

The reason? DVC does not track on the ressie if it is a renter or member...just be aware that more and more perks do require a real DVC membership card and not a room key indicating a DVC member points stay.

You are entitled to the same "on-site" perks as all WDW guests, like complimentary resort delivery of purchases and free theme park parking.
