Renting Points - can I use Magical Express

Hello there,

we are renting points from an owner (thanks to the lovely rent/trade board) and I have a question. Can we use Disney's magical express to get from the airport just like if we were renting through Disney or is that off the table? Also, we are flying on a buddy pass SO we're not 100% sure what flight we'll get on.

Yes you would arrange magical express with the owner who you rented points from.

As the previous poster said, the owner that you rented points from has to make that reservation. They ask what flight you will be arriving on. It is possible to set it up without a flight number, but you have to tell them what time you are catching the DME, and I believe you have to pick up your own baggage at the baggage claim and bring it with you - they won't send the yellow tags where they pick up the luggage and bring it to the resort.

I would provide the info for the flight you are attempting to get on. They won't hold you to the time if you don't make it.

Have the DVC owner reserve your DME. Once reserved, you can call (866) 599-0951 to modify if necessary. As Kathy posted above, use the flight info that you are trying for, that way you will get your yellow tags and the luggage delivery service.

Wear your MB's for DME, they will scan you to board the bus. If your flight number changes, just let a CM know when you get to the DME counter at MCO.

For my last 3 DVC rentals, I have called ME directly and made my own reservations. I have not needed to have the DVC owner make the reservation.
