Renting points and question for the experienced....

I am new to this, so bear with me. I am in contact with a member who has generously offered to let me rent their points. Due to the holiday, availability cannot be checked. Here is my question......How hard is it to get a GV at OKW when not at the 11 mo. timeline? We are travelling at the first of October. I hope that isn't a silly question, as from reading all of the other posts on the boards, I KNOW that GV's go quick at BWV, etc. I just didn't know what the supply/demand ratio was for OKW vs. the other locations. Thanks so much!

OKW GV are easy to get at the 11 month interval

I expect you'll find THERE IS availability for the dates you need.

For example...on January 30, 2004, I made a reservation for a GV at OKW with check-in on October 2, 2004, and check-out on October 9, 2004. The details of our reservation are much like yours will be. None of the days had to be waitlisted. Enjoy the GV...travel safe.

October should be easier to get a grand villa than it is at other times of the year. Summer is quite difficult to get a grand villa at the 7 month window if you are trying to get 5-7 days in a row. I have tried for 5 years, and couldn't get more than 2-3 days in a row.

I wouldn't wait too long, though. October is now Food & Wine Fest time and though BWV will go first, all reservations get pretty popular at that time. Actually a GV sounds like a pretty good idea for a group gathering to go to F&W. hmmmm.....
