If I rent points from a DVCer, am I able to get the DDP as a renter? What is the cost?
Thanks

Hi:

Yes your Owner must book the dining plan for you. My #s are from memory so I may be wrong but for 2006 the prices were $37.99 per night for 10 years and up and $9.99 for those under 10.

In 2007 the prices are $38.99 for the 'adults' and either $10.99 or still $9.99 for the kiddies. (I had read $10.99 for the kiddos, but some have posted being charged $9.99, so I'm not positive on this one.

Every guest must purchase the plan for every night of the stay.

Also it must be added or cancelled at least 1 Business day before your arrival.

Finally, it is paid for at check-in.

Good Luck & Good Eating!

Thanks! That seems like a good deal for us. Hopefully I can start planning soon!

The child price, for both 2006 and 2007, is $10.99. Only the adult price increased for 2007 -- $37.99 for '06, $38.99 for '07. Those prices include all taxes AND an 18% tip for each table service meal.

As Tony mentioned, you must purchase the dining plan for each member of your party for all nights of your stay. However, unlike the regular DDP, you do NOT have to purchase park tickets if you are staying at a DVC resort on a points reservation.

The DIS has a separate forum for the Disney Dining Plan, located here: http://www.disboards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=116

Before you do anything else, go there and read the two FAQ at the top of the page.
