Renting points and fast plus +

With The new fast plus + system and magic bands slowly rolling out, how will this affect people that rent points instead. Will they be able to access the features and make fast pass reservations using the reservation number just like dining?

From everything I have read, yep.

Disney has given no reason to think renters would not have access.

But wouldn't that put a wrinkle in the plan if they did. They are always trying to find ways to stop renting.

I'm not renting points. I'm using my own. But I was able to enter my DVC reservation numbesr into MyDisneyExperience without a problem. I expect that anyone who has their reservation confirmation number could do the same thing whether they are an owner or a "guest" of the owner.

I could link tickets to that reservation if I wanted to and there is a link for the FastPass+ feature. The link is unusable since my resorts are not participating in the testing. However, it is there and I imagine that whenever Disney goes live with the whole Magic+ thing, DVC members and their guests will also be able to access FP+

I am renting points and I have my reservations, dining & tickets linked up in MyDisney Experience. My trip isn't until January but it all appears to be working the same as if I booked directly through Disney.
