Renting points and DDP??

we have a group of 5 adults looking at renting points for (resort and villa size removed). 3 people will stay 8 nights and 2 people stay 5 nights. 3 Can we buy 8 night and 5 night dinning plans on the same reservation??

They would have to be separate reservations but MS can link them.

Separate reservations....ie separate rooms for this to work. Eveyone in the same villa would be on the DDP for the extent of the trip otherwise.

Your first problem is getting a member to make the reservations for you. You have to pay for the dining plan when you add it to the reservation. So you may have to give the member your credit card number and all your information so it can be used to pay.

Because of this complication, some members may not offer the dining plan as a possibility.

This is a possibiliity but requires a member who is not afraid of a challenge.

Under the new system your reservation(s) can be made in multiple segments. So, a few days could be with a certain number of people followed by a few days with a different number of people or with or without dining plan, or any split in between. Each segment will have its own reservation number but will now include a travel plan number. This travel plan number is key to making sure the reservation is one long continuous stay, so no room changes are required.

Keep in mind that this is very new to Member Services and very new to the resort check in people so there are bound to be misunderstandings along the line.
