Hi all! I'm a seasoned WDW traveler, however, have never rented DVC points. Thinking of doing this for my parent's 50th Wedding Anniversary. We would need three rooms though. Preferably at the Boardwalk. Is it even likely we can get 3 studios at the same time for rent? Any advice is appreciated, thanks!

As long as you are planning many months ahead of time, you should be able to do it. Sometimes on the Rent/Trade board there are members with a lot of points to rent (I haven't looked at it in a long time though). Otherwise, I expect David's Rentals would be able to facilitate it. If you can, start inquiries at the 11 month window.

Thank you so much for the reply! I have another month before the 11 month window, so I am trying to do as much homework as possible. Renting a two bedroom and a studio would also work, but it seems that 3 studios would be most cost effective. Do you recommend David's or the ********? I've heard good things about both. Thanks again!!:goodvibes

You'll need to find a member with lots of points. And there is no guarantee the studios will be close to each other. Plus studios never connect to each other.

Thank you for the reply! I am most likely going to go through a broker-so hopefully they will have luck for us. Perhaps a two bedroom with an attached studio might be a better route.

Depending on how long you're going for and what view category it's very likely you could find someone on the rental boards also. It's a number of points but relative to what I see some people listing for rent it's not that many.

if your dates fall with the f&wf, you'll need someone with bwv points to book at 11 months. at 7 months pickings are incredibly slim then

Member Services can make a note on your reservation that the two parties are traveling together and would like to be located nearby. Of course, this is no guarantee. In order to do this, they would need to note the Travel Plan Number of the other party. And also the other party should make the same request on their reservation, giving the other Travel Plan Number.

If you had to go with more than one DVC member to rent from in order to secure sufficient points, you could request that each ask MS to make this note.

This is what we are looking into as well!
Just making sure you know this thread is almost 8 years old. Many, many things have changed since then. Might be better for you to start a thread of your own to get current info & advice. :)
