I am renting a 2 BR in BCV for th first time. We are planning a grocery stop on the way from the airport but have read different reports on what is in the rooms that I will not need. For example, I have read that laundry detergent/powder was provided? is this is the case or should I be picking up some tide? Are utensils/plates/paper towels provided? We will have two boys under 2 so I know I need things for them but just don't want to arrive with 20+ bags of groceries for them!
Also, what is the cost of housekeeping if we elect to have them in more than the 1 day provided for our week stay? Do they just empty the garbage that daya nd change towels or can I get towels inbetween housekeeping visits?
Also, while I'm at it - can I charge purchases back to my room like at other resorts when staying at a DVC location?
Any advise is appreciated! :-)

Some laundry detergent will be provided, but just a few packets. The kitchen will be fully stocked with plates, dishes, silverware, and any cooking item you would ever need.

I am not too sure about the whole housekeeping thing...but someone on here will know.

And yes, you can charge things back to your room on your resort key, and even have things delivered back to the resort gift shop if you would like.

Enjoy your stay! :sunny:

All kitchen items will be there except for food and coffee and coffee filters. Actually, there WILL be a start up coffee set. You will need a small salt and pepper shaker set ( we usually get the disposable ones at the grocery and leave them for the next occupant). They will supply a few sugar packets, but if you need more sugar than that, you might want to bring a little of that. You will want to get laundry detergent, since they only give you one small box of Tide to start and another on trash and towel day and full cleaning day. No need to buy paper towels or dishwasher soap. You can choose to buy an extra towel pack for $6 between trash and towel days if you choose. You can also take the trash down to the trash bin if it gets too full, and there are extra bags in the bottom of each basket in the villa. If you want extra trash and towel days, they are $10 a day, but if you want a full cleaning where linens are changed and vacuuming is done etc, it will be a charge. I can't remember the charge, since we never do that, but I think it is $40 a day for a 2 bedroom.
