Renting Experiences

Just curious if anyone has had or heard of any bad experiences renting DVC points.

For example: Have you paid for a reservation then had the reservation cancelled, arrived at Disney to check-in and found out that you did not have a reservation, etc.

I am curious because I am thinking about renting points in the future and have been visting this board for awhile, but have never heard of any bad experiences.

I would be interested in knowing this also. Have never rented points before and wishing to do so for a trip in Sept. Have been visiting this site for a while and never heard any bad experiences.

It seems like I remember reading about a bad experience that someone had, however it was a long time ago. The thing to look for is people that can provide you with references, etc. I have rented points several time and have a few "repeat" customers. It is definitely a chance on the part of the renter so you need to check it out. On the whole though I think people on this site are good to deal with.
