Renting DVC points

Hi all! Anyone know of where a "safe" place to rent points for DVC in October???

also on the DVC boards there have been reports of people who are not allowed to post on the Dis - sending emails to people like you. the problem some of these are crooks. so go read this too

Also know that DVC members have been able to book villas for October 2012 since last November, so many of the most popular resorts are completely booked for the month of October. It's a very popular time to visit for DVC members.

Just officially booked today with rented points from Daves Vacation Club Rentals. I didn't want to take the risk of renting points from someone directly. I usually a very trusting person but not when were talking about $100s! I've heard great things about this and the process was extremely easy.

Missyrose is exactly right. You might find SSR or OKW available, maybe AKV. But not BCV, BWV, BLT or VWL. They are either very popular or small.

I have rented several times from DVC members on the rent/trade DISboard and have had the most marvelous, magical experiences I do my research and verify their ownership and have been thrilled every time

Before buying into DVC for ourselves, we rented from owners here on the DIS. We had wonderful experiences. It can be done, you just need to be on top of things.
