Renting DVC points and dining plan?

Hi all,
Excuse my ignorance, but I'm not very familiar with the DVC program. I am considering renting some points for a stay in September, but was wondering if it's possible to get the dining plan (esp. if it's free!) if we do rent points?

Oh, and one other question...how do you find out how many points you need for a stay?

Yes it is possible to purchase the DDP if you rent a reservation from a DVC owner. You will not have to purchase any park tickets, but other than that the details of the plan are identical to the regular DDP. The owner would have to add DDP to your reservation for you -- you can't do that yourself. You would pay for DDP at checkin.

Sorry, no free DDP with DVC.

If you look at the top of this page, on the right, you'll see a link for DVC Point Charts. Just click on that and then look for the resort, type of accommodations, and dates.

Agree you can buy but no free with DVC.
