Renting DVC point and free dining

I just seen that disney released free dining thru to Dec, is it possible to get if we are renting dvc points?

DVC Reservatons do not qualify for the free dining promotion, it is only available with a full price rack rate reservation and ticket purchase.

You may have the owner add a dining option to your reservation, and you would pay for it at check-in.

When you rent points, you're in a private transaction with an individual. Since you're not doing business with Disney, none of their discounts apply.

You'll need to run the numbers to see what the better deal is. You'll almost certainly save more money by renting points, given that you'd have to pay rack rate on the villa to get free dining.
