Renting DVC and DDP

Is it possible to wait to add the DDP until checking in when renting points? We're kicking around the idea of renting points next year (if I'm brave enough), but want to use some Visa reward points towards dining. If I've read correctly, it looks like we'd need to pay with a credit card if we add DDP through the individual we rent from???

The DDP needs to be added to your reservation and paid for at least 48 hours before check in.

You should be able to use the dollars on your Disney Visa Rewards Card to pay for the Dining Plan. You'd have to give the number to the owner and if those dollars aren't enough, another form of payment - a credit card or Disney Gift card.

Some members will do a 3-way conference call with MS to get this done.
