Renting a Vacation Home....

Does anyone else keep 2nd guessing their choice? DH is getting really annoyed with me. We found a great house, put a deposit on it - but it's in Davenport (a little farther out then where we stayed before). So occasionally when someone posts a link to a great house/condo that they rented I can't help but look. I keep 2nd guessing myself...I'm always asking DH "Do you think we should switch to here". He's like "Kim, we picked this place, we sent the deposit, just stop looking!!"
I can't help it, it's a sickness!!! Always looking for a better deal
Please tell me I'm not the only one who does this!!

I agree with your hubby. Davenport is not that far. It is probably a difference of 5-8 minutes from where you stayed before.

I am sure you are going to enjoy the home you choose.

When I'm shopping for a rental house or condo, I search so many sights, read so many descriptions, check so many places that I am usually half blind by the time I make my decision. I'm happy to then turn off my search and just concentrate on the rest of my vacation planning. So quit looking at the other houses and relax, you've probably made a great choice.

I do the same as you. We have a house booked for July, I looked for two months before sending a deposit. Everywhere we go I look at every option. I hope you are very happy with your house, and hope we are too. Good Luck and enjoy!!

Chances are if you sent the money it is because it was the best choice for your group.

Its fun to check out the homes and see how they are decorated. You might find one that might be for a future trip so book mark it and if you go back it will be there and you can start with that one.

Nothing wrong with taking a looksee. Have a great trip and tell us all about the home when you get back.

After I make my final choice, I don't look anywhere else. I'm usually relieved we found a place that fit our needs, wants, and budget.

As for Davenport, the ride is quick. Also, the grocery stores and such in the immediate area are not as busy. Which is a nice little bonus.

I have personally never stayed in davenport, but the rest of my family has, sisters, brothers, parents. They all love Davenport. . They are even looking to buy a house there. As it was already said, it isn't that far from disney, one road straight into wdw.

We love Davenport - that was where our first villa rental was. We gave a development in Clermont a try this last trip - and loved that too..

Shall I be really awful and post a link to the house??...

It took so long for me to find the right place, once I booked I haven't looked elsewhere... DH & I just keep commenting that we'll probably kick ourselves for not renting a house sooner!
