Renting a stroller at Disneyland, recommendations?

Hi, this is our first time going to Disneyland. We normally rent a double stroller from an outside company at Disneyworld. Any one recommend anyone for Disneyland?
I have a 3 year old and a just turned 5 year old.
We usually rent a double BOB stroller for Disneyworld.

I have rented from them about 4 times over the last year. Great customer service, clean equipment and drop-off is on time. I would recommend them.

City Strollers for sure! Amazing customer service and cleanest strollers I've ever seen!

This is great info. Would you suggest a stroller for a 3 almost 4 year old? I didn't even think of this, since he is long out of strollers at home, but I imagine at Disney this could be a lifesaver..

Get the stroller. Our girls had just turned 4 when we went in January and hadn't used a stroller at home in nearly two years. We rented a city mini double gt from City Strollers and couldn't have survived without it. My kids are used to walking and even so couldn't have handled 5 park days without riding for some of it.

My main suggestion is that if your kid is particularly tall to check which stroller you're renting and make sure it will be comfortable. The city mini was fantastic except the kids were right at the cusp of too tall. We could just close the sun shades over their heads!

We have used city stroller rentals in the past and they were great. That said, we are going stroller free in June with my 4 and 5.5 year olds. My son is 47ish inches and just won't fit and it's easier to have no stroller than a single that they will squabble over.

We rented from them when our youngest had just turned 3. I would have done it at 4 too (not that we were going to DL, but if we were...). She ended up napping in it both of the days we were in the park--and she'd given up naps a year earlier so we hadn't planned for a nap in the schedule. It also meant that she wasn't whining about wanting to be carried, we weren't yelling at her to keep moving, and it was an easy way to keep extra coats, water and snacks handy.

I'll probably continue to rent for a while. My son is 4 now, not sure when we'll be going back with him, but he doesn't like to hold our hands and gets side tracked easily so having him in a stroller will let me know where he's at all the time instead of chasing him thru the park.

out of curiosity, why do people rent strollers at Disneyland/WDW instead of just bringing your own, since the airlines don't charge to check them? the prices for stroller rentals seem so expensive.

We rented a stroller because we no longer own one. From the time they turned 2 our twins just didn't use it much and so we sold it when they were 3.

On our first trip (kids were2) we rented a stroller because we didn't want to deal with another thing in the airport, our stroller had to disassemble to fold (City Select with second seat), and we didn't want to risk it being damaged or stolen. For us the $100 rental fee with insurance was worth it. The side-by-side we rented was also easier to deal with in the park. The kids could get themselves in and out easier. We loved our City Select when the kids were little but the City Mini double we rented was better suited to the park in our opinions.

I rented one because I was traveling alone with a 4 yr old and already had too much stuff to haul thru the airport by myself. I also don't check my carseat and bring it on the plane, so just way too much stuff for me. Don't want to risk mine getting damaged either because baggage handlers don't always treat them carefully.

I bought a cheap fully functional stroller off Craigslist for about $15. Brought it on the plane and used it throughout the park logging about 12 miles a day x 4.5 days (which would have been impossible had my 4 year old been on foot). Then when we were ready to leave, I put the stroller outside of my room with a sign that said "free". I got a knock on the door within minutes asking for it.

Overall cost was $15 and a minor hassle to bring it there. I saved on rental cost, rental pick up/drop off etc, worry about the airplane damaging it, worry about theft while at the park (who wants to steal $15 stroller when there are $400 Bumblerides to be had?). We were sad to say bye to it as it was a good little soldier.

Obviously, everyone has their preferences but just another option for consideration.

We ended up buying 2 strollers from Walmart, they were $50 each but that still saved us $25+ overall on what it would cost to rent from DL and we could take them back to the hotel and it saved time not having to rent/return each day. We have three girls who were 6, 4.5, and 3 on the trip so they took turns riding and walking, and it ended up being one of the best decisions of the entire trip to get two separate strollers over a double because we could split up without having to decide who took the stroller (especially helpful when the kids are different heights and some can ride things others can't!). Anyway, if you have a way to get to a local store it's an option to consider. We "paid it forward" with the strollers to a couple of families when we left since we didn't need to haul them all the way home :)

We are driving, but no longer own a stroller, if we can borrow one from a friend, we will bring it down with us, if not, we will rent, because the convenience far outweighs the cost in our opinion. :)

I was flying with my 3-year-old and 8-year-old and it worked much more easily to strap the 3-year-old to my back (she was still small enough for the Ergo) while carrying all her stuff and mine. Plus, I didn't have a great selection of strollers for the trip. Option #1 was an umbrella stroller (um, no). Option #2 was an 8-year-old Graco travel system-type stroller and the plastic wheels were fine for the mall but not great for pavement. Option #3 was a true jogging stroller with a stationary front wheel--perfect for the tons of miles the two of us logged during my runs, but completely unworkable for DL.

The City Stroller rental was perfect because it was a jogger-type that makes for a nice smooth ride but with a swivel wheel that makes it really easy to handle in crowds. They weren't making them like that when my oldest was born (or at least I don't remember seeing one), and it didn't make any sense to buy one later.

Just something elose to think about; disneyland is much more compact than disneyworld. This means a double is going to be harder to maneuver around, have you thought about 2 singles?

They make a double that is one seat in front of the other instead of side by side, and I feel like I recall City Stroller does rent those.

ETA they don't sadly :(
